In Sudan , the largest country in Africa , over two million Black Muslim, Christian and Animists (tribal) have been killed by government supported rebels in what it proclaims to be ‘Jihad’ (Holy War). 4.5 million People have been displaced and for all but 11 years since independence, Sudan has been overtaken by civil war. http://www.amnestyusa.org/amnestynow/sudan.html

In the 1800s, Southern and Central Sudan of Christians, Animists and Black Muslims was conquered by the north who began to enforce Islamic rule in the region (RE-Write this sentence).

In the 1800 Animists and Black Muslims who lived in Southern and Central Sudan , were conquered by strongly religious Muslims from the North.

Since then, six pro-government Sudanese Imams issued an explicit fatwa granting religious legitimacy to the murder of Christians, Animists and the Black Muslims. The first genocide of Christian, Anamists and Black Muslims started in the early '90s and continued until 2002. The Sudanese regime forcibly places non-Muslim children in Koranic schools.
